Cheap seats.

Can't believe how much are being asked for these now. Couple of years ago they were a lot cheaper. Decent 911 money these...

Was having a conversation about early water cooled Porsches today and the consensus was that prices have definately started to rise.

picked up the 968 on saturday. it really is a minter. not that quick by modern standards but a has a lovely loping feel to it.

Lovely looking car...My University Lecturer had a yellow one (much prefer it in Black though), would love to have one on the driveway.

cheers all. I like it a lot. the seating / driving position is really about as recumbent as any car I've had... not sure the dimensions but it feels very long and low (only just fits in my parking space)

the reg was on there when I bought it..its not really my cup of tea and I did plan to sell it... prev owner paid £3k for it. I'd rather have an L reg but then again the car was featured in a glowing magazine article by Andrew Frankel (GT Purely I think) and the reg kind of identifies that it is that car - so for now I will leave it

that white one looks cheap if it is a CS. am not up with the facts enough to know if you could have central locking...it may be a Sport in drag?

need to get back on the hotrod soon after a bit of a hiatus ...Tuthills bodyshop will one day stop building safari rally cars I hope

I always felt the same about mine - even if the book suggested it wasn't a great deal longer than a 944 (90mm).

Mine had been well maintained but lacked a little in the chassis department. A set of new dampers and a geo set improved the car all-round and I discovered what all the rave reviews were about. You don't need to spend heaps on KWs etc.; a fresh set of Koni Sports were just the ticket.

I test drove a 968CS with 125k miles on the clock a few years back which was up for £7k at the time and it was a pretty underwhelming experience tbh. Not fast and none of the steering feel that you get in a 911.
It's one of the very few cars I've test driven that I didn't buy.
My first Porsche was a 944S 16v and I raced a 924 in the Lodge Sports championship for a couple of seasons so have some history with these front engined things.
Issue I couldn't resolve was that they cost approx the same as a 911 to run and require exactly the same amount of emotional commitment to keep on top of all the maintenance etc, but at the end of the day its got none of the drama of a 911.
