Managed to recover its original NLX plate.....each of my garage bays has the plate of the car that parks there.....the plate was assigned last year when we transferred it from it's Irish plate......DVLA are a good bunch of people.



I've limited knowledge on this car but would love to find out more.......who's Higgs?

Appreciate that......see it's got, it's rear cage at this time.....that was gone by the time I bought it.

Finally home and time to crack on....





I was little late in ordering the bilsteins so for today it's a dry assembly of front suspension.....

I've changed to turbo rod ends, elephant racing poly- bronze bushed and conventional poly bush where appropriate...

Looking very good.

Rear suspension installed with Elephant Racing sealed spherical bearings and again poly bronze bushes to the spring plates.....no resistance to up and down motion.....simple fit and worth the expense...just awaiting new bilsteins to complete. Messed up on the dolly length as I think the suspension arm is likely to foul.....it will give me an excuse to accelerate the purchase of a new hydraulic lift.....I'd been putting this of as undecided on which one to buy.....so maybe the time to spend a few weekends on the loom and electrics.

What makes you think that.....I'd be interested to know more about its previous life and use.

Couple hours today building up the doors and installing mechanical window regulators. For simplicity I've swopped from power windows to mechanical winders.

Attacked the wiring today.



I prefer the smoke to stay in my wiring so pealed back all the loom tape to inspect each wire and set about making good four decades of running repairs.

I've updated to heat and abrasive resistant coverings and set about labeling each terminal. Okay it's not going to win concours but should make for a very reliable race car.

Example of before.......scotch locks and other crimp splices cut out and soldered to make good.



All labelled, covered in heat protection and labelled.

I think those are before and after pics Tim, looks like the scotch locks are long gone.
