Now that very close to me. In fact I am typing this in Girvan. I think that makes you and me Sam the total South Ayrshire chapter of the DDK. The Girvan to Stranraer coast road is one of the nicest you could ever wish to drive in an early 911 on a beautiful summers evening. (I think the last one was in 2007 ). Where are your relatives Sam? They may well come to see me in a professional capacity. Not from sunny Ballantrae?

Another of your fellow traders (I know you have retired!) here on DDK has escaped the clutches of Kilmarnock and is plying his trade on here pretending to be a Southener.

Lendalfoot, a lovely spot, just right for a bit of open top Mazda MX5 driving or even recumbent cycling along country lanes. Not to mention a walk on the beach. I do believe it is a red MX5 they have.

Yes, they did frequent my services until a few years ago. Sadly, for a reason I am not too sure about they had a disagreement about something and they now go elsewhere. Not to worry. All is well with the World and you can't please all of the people all of the time. You will know that as well as anyone Sam, my new brother.

You certainly can't please Graham all of the time... He likes living where he does so he only has to talk to people once a month and even then he actively tries to upset them.

I tried my best with Graham. I even showed great interest in his titanium or aluminium recumbent bicycle when my initial thought was how dangerous it all looked on quiet hedge lined country lanes, single track, with the odd tractor about. Alas I must have fallen short in the spectacle department as he still has a pair sitting on my shelf gathering dust for about two years now. He did have exacting standards which I failed to meet (apparently). I am not worried about this, as I said, it doesn't happen very often and all is well with the World. His little Mazda (he has had several) is always immaculately presented I notice, better than my RS I would say. Almost to the point of obsession I would say. There's room for everyone in this World (just about).

Lets not put words into my mouth. 'Awkward' was not a word I uttered but I would go along with 'interesting'.

Yeh, the dental thing is a sort of side issue which comes up from time to time but lets not confuse things or everyone will think I'm a dentist.

I will definitely take you up on that once I get round to backdating!
First job will be sorting the cage out, it is a rather hefty race cage, I have decided to cut my losses and remove parts or all of it and re-routing it, then hopefully I will strip it down and do a full inside and out respray and remodel!!

Thanks, Dougie, I will certainly be speaking to you! i had a look at your R to RSR thread, it is a stunning machine! is there a definite need to go wider on the rear arches with the flared RSR fronts? or would it look naff if i just kept the SC originals?
