What everyone says.
Also how long can you be without the car / tie up your garage ?
I have had my car for around 5 years now, much like yourself, keeping it going with plans for more major work in another couple of years.
I think it depends on what level you are after, full on anorak, with all details correct, or just a nice car that you can enjoy.
I will be stripping and rebuilding my car, but having the shell done by someone else.
Are any other DDKers close by for help and advice? (popping round to drink all your tea)
Stuart.

Mine took a full 18 months to do from 'see the road through the floor' to first drive into Wales with the wife and daughter.
I used every spare minute I could find in a one car garage! :drunken:

I have had a result, I think.... My local Porsche specialist have offered to let me keep the car at their workshops and use their facilities to help me strip the car as much as I am able. This is great as I can use their facilities and expertise where I get stuck, and I might learn something along the way!

If I get stuck they said they would help me within reason, hopefully I can get it far enough along the way to send it for media blasting.

So win win... No mess at my place... On hand help so I don't wreck anything...in theory!

Slightly intimidated though to walk into a garage being a bit of a novice....

Nt too sure when I will start but at least I have a bit of support close by....
