Seems this problem has also blown my rev counter grrrr got the car back together on Saturday, started it to put it in the garage and rev counter is dead. I'm getting a pulse from the coil as when connecting a bulb it dims as expected. Off to speedy cables for a second time.

I'm wondering how this happened though as the fuse was still intact?! Any ideas?

Apparently, these repro rev counters are famous for breaking. There is a fix that I heard of a while back but I can’t remember for the life of me what the fix is. I thought that it’s something to do with adding a resistor or something like that in the inside / where the brains are, but as I say, I can’t remember for the life of me. Might be worth asking Barrie from Martin & Walker about it?

Del I had mine rebuilt by Speedy Cables already! I'm going to reduce the amp in the fuse protecting this circuit and see if I can get away with it.

Have you seen ferryman Pauls thread about his experience? I'm sure it was the same company?

no but I know how bad they can bee having been unfortunate enough to use them twice before. Sadly not many firms left in this kind of business.
