Good luck with your search - I'd say it's nearly impossible to tell too much from photographs and a lot of cars of a certain age will have seen some action although that doesn't necessarily make them bad.
Your best bet will always be to take someone along who really knows cars to check things over and always (try
) buy with your head rather than your heart.
