Tremendous find Mike/Brendon.Cars now in good hands, and will be keen to see work progressing, which I'd imagine will be to a pretty high standard.
Lived and worked in this area for over fifty years, and been into Porsches since I was a lad.Never seen or got a sniff of this car.
Best of luck with the restoration.

Looking forward to this unfold chaps - just hope its a bit quicker than the engine rebuild

TBH I'd be happy to find any early 911, anything else in terms of rarity is an extra bonus 8)

The shell was sitting there in a forlorn state, drivetrain removed, very rusty and looking like a huge challenge even for Barry.  However, it was RHD, fairly complete and lwb. Evidence of exterior colour change, and a rather interesting interior I thought. A black car with red interior, nice combo!
Sitting on four Fuchs but a ducktail and some kind of vinyl roof covering with home made aluminium gutter deco! No bonnet in sight. The dash looked ok, no cracks, but a mismatched black lower dash which I had expected to be red to match the interior. No matter, it was all there including the clocks, steering wheel, door pockets and aftermarket speakers cut into the door panels. Non original front seats were a big disapointment.  A nice find but a bit of a mix up and a ton of work needed on the body to say the least. Not brilliant considering the shell had been inside for 20 years or more!

Any more ideas on model yet?

Sorry to bore you already Mr Ferryman

I thought you got 'out and about' Brembo

That's all for tonight. More tomorrow...................

Wow Brendan and Mike. What an exciting find. I think we all long to stumble across a barn find. It is quite amazing what is squirreled away in garages and barns. As our brothers from across the Pond would say "subscribed"

Morning Mike, lovely find. :)

Those door handles have to be `68... but LWB ??

This isn`t the first right hand drive, long wheel base, 2 litre injected S ever to roll off the production line ??

Mike.

But :

So it's clearly a special car then...

Looks white under the black paint on the engine lid hinge and I'm sure one of the Piech RS development cars was white with red, so I reckon it's that car and you are both now very rich.

Except it's RHD.

So probably not.

As above, the pointers suggest 69 MY, but I'm going to say the front bumper and engine lid are Porsche fitment and it was some sort of aero test mule.

Does the person who gets it right win the car?

Great find!

Definitely a '69 as Mike has been (almost!) buying lots of '69 bits from DDK recently :)
