Gone has he ?

Good, he was giving me a head ache.

The fact that DDk has been established and running for seven years without a member being ejected is an extaordinary record, probably unique amongst internet motoring forums.

Unique..

This is, no doubt, down to the Moderators here, who`s apparant hands off approach belies a sensitivity and enthusism that makes DDk what it has become.

Thankyou guys, long may it continue.

Gotta go, my extensive collection of rare wrist ware needs winding.

Mike.

Its a shame he was unprepared to moderate his posts, forcing you to moderate him. The quote Nick posted confirms this was inevitable to maintain the unique atmosphere you've created here, and for which I thank you

I saw some of his efforts, and was quite ashamed of his attititude.

I am very poor at maintaining contact on forums and the like, the only one I keep coming back to is DDK. The reasons for this are the outstanding support that comes forward, along with sound advice.

Long may it be so, well done Bootsy. Please do not apologise for his poor behaviour.

Cheers
Simon

JP has just updated me on this, as I've not been on-line this weekend (until now).

He said 'someone's been banned'. I thought now who could that be  .

As I said on a certain RS topic, I've never come so close to deleting a whole thread. Despite sensible reining in (or so I thought) he carried on regardless (a case of 'Keep calm and Carry On .... Winding DDK'ers Up'?).

Good move, and he certainly had more than a fair chance.

Bootsy,

DDK is a fantastic place to hang out and that is largely a credit to yourself and the moderators. From the time when I joined in 2006 (I think) the forum has grown immensely.

It is due to its growth that the forum will attract some characters who are on the wrong side of extra-ordinary. Please don't feel guilty. The baby has grown and the time when a bunch of classic porschista's reflected on the forum after a drive on the moors/down the pub etc are still there in spirit, but are probably gone.

Lets look at the positives though: if it means that kindred, respectful spirits can help each other to keep a classic porsche going, then that must be worth it.

Take care buddy,

Bert

Bless him. The scrapings off the gene pool are alive and well I see. Let's just hope he doesn't breed for the sake of humanity.

I wouldn't bank on it. He's a liability even to himself!
