That's the avenue I want to go down. When Chesil was run be Tygan they built some cars with the Red 9 front beam on and it was set up by a company called Centre Gravity in the West Midlands. Not only does it look the dogs it is meant to be the dogs! So I'm gonna start saving

can highly recommend Chris Franklins (Centre Gravity) work. he really knows his way around Porsches.

Thanks for that. I have talked to him about setting the car up after fitting a Red 9 beam. So when I've got the funds I get in touch.

Chris Franklin was involved in the design and development of that Red 9 suspension set up.

More importantly... what he does not know about suspension, geo and setting cars up is not worth knowing.

Chris Franklin fitted two or three of the Red 9 beams and set the geo on those cars for Tygan when they took over from Chesil. Tygan did quite a lot of R&R on the old Chisil Speedster but then went bust (they didn't want to support the kit car market or former customers). The company was then bought back by its original founder Peter Bailey who is now running the company and developing the cars in other directions.

Did you buy the car from chesil with the 911 engine conversion??
I remember, hold on it must be nearly 9 years ago when l visited Chesil l recall seeing a speedster with a flat six being built. They had to cut the back end of, alot of work involved to do it and Peter said he wouldnt be doing another. Just wondered if this was yours?? What happened last time you drove it

Chris sorted the geometry on the two that we installed for Tygan, and what a vast improvement it made on both cars once set up. A very worthwhile upgrade/improvement to these cars.

Hi Rich, no I bought it from the guy that got it from Chesil. I have talked to Peter about it and it went back to Chesil after I had a little damage to the front when I took it for a spin (literally) Peter said that it was a good job the back end was it tact after all the bother sorting it out the first time! They lengthened the back end to fit the flat six in & apparently they built two 911 Speedsters at Chesil the other one was totaled by the customer about 5 miles from picking it up!
It is a bit of a beast to handle and hence the Red 9 upgrade next as its quite tail happy! But last time I drove the car was back in April I went up a nice dual carriageway when I noticed a nasty knocking noise from the engine so I limped home to find that the big end bearing had gone hence the rebuild (':(')

Nice. Looks a similar colour to mine. But I would think significantly faster!

That's right. It is roughly two years ago that we did the first one, we may have some images of the installation somewhere.
