stripped the inner bumper iron down and treated all the metal to a coat of rust treatment followed by 4 coats of black undercoat and 3 coats of stone chip owen nw



started cutting out boot floor rot was nt as bad as i was expecting made up repair panels , drilled out the spot welds on the opposite side , have a look

couple of areas of the lip that holds the seal were abit weak so of with them owen nw

done the last of the reat boot floor it was made up of bondo , and very well done at that , so out it came

colm and me went out to day to get as much done as possible , i thought to day would read up the welding but i now have to do a bit more on the ds rear floor , where some water mush have lay , i got colm to scrapp all the factory sound deading of ready to zinc prime the floor reseam seal stone chipp and paint , tomorrow will see us at the body work lol owen nw colm the boy

Any chance of posting pics that us tight folks in Belfast can see on our 19 in monitors, as I haven't got the full Derry 32" Plasma wired into the PC yet

i don t no why it s doing that , any ideas , i ve changed the mega pixels from 10 00000 to 200000 owen nw

You need to Resize them in Photobucket, or whatever host you are using, or before you load them in with the camera/photo software on your PC.

I usually set them to 800 x 600 or one size bigger.

For the ones you have posted already you will need to resize them, edit our posts, removing the links you have in and then post the new link for the smaller pic.

the 2 of us went out today to do a bit more on the boys 914 , after doing the hell hole behind the fire wall on the ps , cutting out the panel to get access to the panel behind cut out any rot that was there and worked me way back , then put the original panel back on . so i decided to check the other side , it was not to bad , this is where the bonnet pull goes through, , first i took this of then cut out the offending panel , hovered out all the leaves and crapp behind it then painted the inside with stone chip , when this was dry i replaced the rot with a new panel and bonnett pull bracket , i also cut out most of the rear floor and repaced that to dolling the floor supports back into it , i then coated the rear boot floor with primer followed by seamer all around the seams and repair panels followed buy 3 good coats of stone chip , when these were drying i skimmed up the panels and downed tools the boys was never as glad lol owen nw colm :incheek:

to day we spent some time on getting everything painted with zinc primer and reseamed in side and out , then painting the out side of the floor with hammerite stone chip paint the best to use , have a look owen nw colm :hug:

the whole underside is now sealed up under the sills and the chassis ,

Nice work owen - it looks very much like mines does! I've had to attack the rot in all the same areas

spent all day doing body work , not that there is much in the line of filling , more in prep , doing each panel then going over it again , etc , now ready to spot prime



the whole under side and under each wheel arch has now been coated in 3 generous coats of stone chip paint




brushed in between the wing and scuttle panel with rust treatment and primer then masked all both panel and injected so seam sealer along it s edge , then wet my finger and pulled allong the seam sealer to give a nice tidy bead
