North Yorkshire police being so lovely and cuddly.
Mike.
The sun was shining today & what a surprise , the bikers were out in force .
If the bikers are out , be VERY careful through the villages as the police will be out with handheld camera's ... open roads are different matter
Also, a lot of the bikers can be reckless, so do be aware the the lovely empty stretch of road to overtake can soon be full of R1's heading towards you in triple figures

have you read the DDK Tourist Guide ?
It's one of the way-points to enter into Google Maps
It is a narrow twisty bit of road out of Ambleside that leads onto the Kirkstone Pass .... onwards from here to Penrith & then finally on the run upto Alston the roads open up & you can use some throttle

and not just towards you !!
What was, 10 seconds ago, a friendly fellow Porsche owner waiting patiently behind you while you seek out an overtaking oppotunity can be replaced by one of these machines literally before you know it !
