Jamie I was not moaning about the UK cars Just that I had to enjure sitting in such a dull car all the time while my mates Dads had the New shaped Serria and Capri's, Rover Sd1's Porsche 944's a Martine 924 even a Dolmite Sprint was cool and theres me in a Brown Allegro
No no - I know you weren't. It's just that I hear lots of people talk about the collapse of BL like it was the worst crime in history, whereas in simple terms they built horrid cars people would never aspire to own. Bash.

Me too! The zimmer frame game had me all afternoon (ok - the diving glove frisking machine...)
I rib my Dad lots about it.. he only bought them as he got a discount working for Lucas.. Staff discount on a new car every year I guess was ok but still why didn't he try and get a Jag or some thing
Mind you I will never forget Becky something or others Mom bought a NEW Gold Targa SC in 79 I loved the look of that car.. she had it for years!!!
I collect antique Jaf tribal bag faces. Hand woven between 1800 - 1900. I don't have pictures on this computer but I'll get them up when at work tomorrow.
These were originally used by the Caucasian Jaf tribe to store and travel with their belongings.
I have about 15 now and can't stop, one day I'll have an exhibition of them
As a child I collected soaps, on a rope, novelty etc.
Strangely I now have the largest collection (probably in the world!) of Monkey Brand soap advertising from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Not worth a lot but I love the artwork and copy. It's not actually a soap to wash with though!

I spent hours in there at southwold pier, the ex wife thought I was mad!
My favourite builder is Tim Hunkin. One summer a few years back I ended-up with an empty Friday and a leftover press car with a full tank of diesel, so I went for a drive to nowhere-in-particular and ended-up at Southwold pier. I had no idea that it was full of Hunkin's automata and I was there for hours.
Ahhh- Excellent- The Southwold pier display is fantastic- And I hope you followed it up with a refreshing pint of Adnams, THE BEST BEER IN THE WHOLE WORLD BAR NONE!!!! I Highly recommend the Lord Nelson!!

I go for The Sole Bay Inn, walk back in time and savour such a pub! Just round the corner from the brewery.
I'm tempted!! I forgot you were a relatively local boy- Sadly I don't get over that way as much as I should- Although my folks are about to move back to suffolk after a brief secondment in Wales so maybe I will in the future- Another Favourite of mine is the Bell in Walberswick, the flag stone floors are incredible!
