I got a email from Penelope Pitstop last week (the girl with the Ferrari at CML'08) and she mentioned that the organiser of the Lotus 7 Club Le Mans trip has opening up next year's trip to non Lotus 7 Club members.

It’s sounds like a great trip and the only Le Mans (proper) trip where you get a dedicated camping site with a huge marquee and TV screen running highlights of the race amongst other things, generators / power, hot showers for their use only, barbeques laid on two nights, live bands for entertainment, a security guard walking round to ensure the cars and tents are safe and – best of all! – fridges for all to use to keep that all important beer cold!! If the trip is fully subscribed there are around 130 cars going and around 200 people there so it’s a fantastic social event as well.

If anyone is interested you can pm me and I will pass you details onto Penelope who will get the club to contact you with further info.

I'm also a member of the Lotus Seven Club & although I won't be going (the modern racing doesn't interest me) I can add some info:

Cost of the trip is either £310 (inc Grandstand ticket) or £275 (inc general entry to the track but no Grandstand) - these prices do not include Ferry costs.
