True Mik, for sale ads are the only area that seems to generate complaints on ddk hence being forced to have loose policies. I'm sorry stephanie felt this way but I do take umbridge when new members of the forum make a for sale post as their first only to later to complain with no other contribution to the forum or club!

I've welcomed well-informed, impartial advice/banter on any of the weird and wonderful motors i've previously offered for sacrifice on DDK. If it raises interest, great. If it saves me having to entertain some numpty dreamer, all the better. Likewise, with the greater knowledge of some of our forum devotees, it's good to know of any shortcomings on a car offered that may not be adressed by the seller

with cubist on this one. i didn't see anything on this thread that would put off a serious buyer from going to look at this car.
infact as cubist says (and jamies car for sale thread proves)a good bit of banter keeps the car for sale ad alive and at the top of the page. which has GOT to be a good thing for the seller.

I see where this is all going.. DDK on the whole offers well restored cars or cars in need of restoration. We have seen some odd and well in the eyes of the owner stunning must buy's
Trouble is one the car is not a Pre 73 car it's an impact bumper model and there for really it's not for this site and it is best over on IB site.
2 it's modified in a way that really is not what we follow so back to IB
3 there is no account for taste. What one person does not like another does.
So I am sorry you feel you have not had a fair time here at DDK but as stated if you joined in more on the forum I think this wouldn't of happened. We have had this before with the chap selling radios all he does it post for sale ads. Only joined in on a limited and I mean limited basis. Not really DDK really is it.
You can't please them all..
I have to say the brown was better..looked a nice looking car in the orginal colour..

banter and chat is a good thing and wouldnt put me off buying or selling. Any publicity is good publicity, just ask Jodie Marsh.
I think you've done a bit of a cut your nose off to spite your face situation really, as you'd be bumped up to the top again with 764 people having looked at your add.
Good luck selling your car.

4 posts all about selling a car
If you had to pay for the advert then I can see where you may be coming from.
If you didn't you can have no complaints in my eyes.
Its a forum not autotrader.
What exactly did you expect?
If you don't want people to post responses on a for sale ad don't post them in public forums?
I thought everybody here was quite positive and gave no negative feedback. TBH I bit my toungue because if I hadn't I would have had to say smething about the car being offered...and none of it was very positive....but this is not pistonheads and we are very polite
Good luck with the sale.
Oh dear
