Make sure the paint doesn't go off or fade in the tin when you come to use it.

11 years to do

I am 8/9 at the mo I am pushing to have the 54 done for 10

I promis to be out there in the garage tonight doing some more work while I mull over Nick's SC for sale

Yes, the shell is now rust free and fitted with the ST rear arches.

Those arches were cause for much delay and difficulty but they look lovely and they are the correct profile.
Not easy to fit so thanks to Nick the Chisel for his fine work on those.

This is what they looked like in their naked form. Hand made by craftsmen and at a hand made by craftsmen price.

No, I don't like the mix of styles front and rear (authentic though it may be), it'll be Fuchs all round. 7" & 9"s. RSR frosted finish, polished lip and detailed spokes.

A few more touches that the early911 guys took care to include:

Strut brace for the front turrets and also some seam welding to help stiffen things up.

Alongside those you can see further strengthening that was done on the rear turrets. Nice touches.

The shell has been painted underneath and inside.
It's had the outer panels fitted and gapped but they're off for now and the body received some paint prior to the start of the build. Could be rolling this week.
