Which presumably means that that you lot see it as sacrilege and therefore hate it ?
I'm not sure I'd want to drive it but I'd certainly put it on the mantlepiece.

Does anyone remember a Purple '59 356A Outlaw from Volksworld (of all places) about 10 - 12 years ago? Car lived in the UK. One other distinguishing detail: it sat on BRM wheels. Would love some photos of that car.

Yes, built by a guy called Jez Hoye. He went on to build a Speedster with graphics on the top of the front wings and a rod or two.

It was a seminal car for me - first Outlaw 356 I saw in the flesh around 95 ish. I chatted to him at the Volksworld Show about it - I have the feature on it somewhere, will have to scan some pics.

Yes, I remember his name now. That is the car that sent me off wanting a 356A. I got sidetracked with the two 911s, but a '65 911 is sort of a 356, right? ;)

Photos appreciated.

Is Jez still involved in the early porsche scene here - I haven't seen him (or his name) mentioned for quite a while ?

Jez is a jeweller by trade & as well as his 356's he had a couple of early 911's - he came to my place some years ago in a swb burgundy 911 fitted with Magnesium Torq Thrust wheels - said he had a spare set which he then offered to me for £600...

..Jeremy Hoye? I recognise that name. He made my wife's engagement ring. How strange...

Yes, he makes custom silver work and has a place in Brighton - or did.

Last I heard was a rumour of a 356 with 911 power on an interesting floorpan - not sure if it came to anything.

The last car I know of that he built was a beautiful Rod which was strangely featured in Classic and Sports Car if I remember correctly.

Is he the guy that made the silver 4 cam engine key rings for the 356 international at Brighton?
I've still got mine, is a fabulous piece of work.

Helen, I could just see you driving that.
Paul will sell it to you for a reasonable price I'm sure.
