Jason

Muchos was similar to photo bucket. As you can see from my first ever DDK post it took me a bit to work it all out. Nothing muchos changes with new ddk members wanting to post pics.

I have done 35000 kilometres since I got it so it's a bit of a garage queen.... Not.

Regards
Mike

Looks great Mike. Would love to see it back to the original colour for 50th birthday but I also like it in black.

My car is a 1 June 1973 build too....although instead of passing my driving test 6 days later I was born 5 days later   Car and I will be celebrating 40 years in June :)

Hopefully see you and the car later in the year.

It's amusing reading your first posts on this thread Mike - doesn't seem like 10 years ago when many of us had never met!

Congrats on the ten years, Mike. :drunken:

Wheels are looking fantastic as is the car, of course 8)

So the information on Neil's site is incorrect I hope (as in you're keeping the car)?

Question is will she be chartreuse for her 50th birthday?

What's Gibbs by the way?

I'm guessing it's some sort of scottish sex-gel used by dentists

Yes Steve that is out of date.

You are right Sladey. Next time you go for a scale and polish just make sure the guy uses the correct jar. They look similar. No real damage if they do get mixed up, just means your lunch slips down easier.

Ah yes James, running repairs in Switzerland. Had to borrow the electric drill from the owner as I remember. Nothing works smoothly without a beer you notice. That's a fine figure of a man don't ya think!
Yes, James some great trips and time for another continental blast now that she has new socks and shoes?

Many congrats on both 10 year anniversaries!

Your RS looks perfect on Fuchs rather than rear Minilites and the Avons do look 'right'. 8)

If you're thinking of taking it back to Chartreuse, do it! It'd be great to have another of the original 23 back in green. But I'm a touch biased

Your car is an inspiration. I look at the excellent Ferryman's pictures of it often, maybe even every day  . I have also tried to track down the other 22 cars but alas I only have 5 known cars on my list. It's very interesting how the colour is not consistent between them. Could be camera, film, lighting, computer screen, resolution, age of eyes etc but some are sharper green than others. Luckily I have plenty of protected original colour under the black and inside the cabin which I will be able to sample from when the time comes.

I hope our two cars meet up sometime. I look forward to it.

Mike

Mike,

I can't believe how you grew into such an early Porsche oracle in these last 10 years. Prior to this, there were the old PCGB boys who had them from back-in-them-days and all that jazz, and here you are now. Can't even eat on your dinner table as there is a mint red early 911 interior occupying it!

For the newer lot, there is this youtube video called "ddk 73 RS v c3" or something along those lines, where "some members might have had a bit of a blast."

For some reason, seeing that brings a smile on my face.

Take care buddy- up to the next 10 years. Look after yourself.

By the way, when are we going to see that 2.4e- or have I missed any posts about it?

Bert

The car looks OK ...

Must be great to have such a careful personal tyre fitter 'on hand' - how far does he travel ?

Didn't realise that it's 10 years that you've owned the car - my earliset memory of it was when it looked like this:

You're right about how different Chartreuse looks in virtually every picture - & how different a particular car can look in different lighting conditions.

I think one of my favourite pictures of a Chartreuse RS is Jol Danzig's:
