Thanks guys . . . if it could hear you, I’m sure it would be blushing.
If the right person comes along with the right money (which is something I’m struggling to define) I’d have to think seriously about selling. It will be a case of accepting an offer I can’t refuse as opposed to I need to sell quick as I’m skint, so there’s no huge hurry, and the chances are, people will pitch me in the mid to late teens (to which I’ll reply ‘no’).
Sounds snotty, but I’m not going to let people poke round it until I’m 100% about my mind and their intentions . . . . as least I won’t be wasting anyone’s time.
I've got some great memories with this car . . .

If it's just about money, offer it for lease to a classic rental company. Yours is an extremely well known and well respected car which a lot of rental co's would be happy to have on their books. You'd still own it then and it will be kept in good shape under the terms of the contract... just a thought

Seriously Phil, DON'T DO IT. It'd be a massive mistake and as soon as you saw it driving away with its new owner, you'd realise that, then it's too late. Try and find another way. My bank balance looks shite too, most people in the UK are in the same boat and property is on a slight drop. Sell the house, they're ten a penny. You can live in the car but you can't race the house!
I almost did a similar thing a couple of years ago and I can't tell you how glad I am that I kept it.
