Audmars Piguet (AP) Offshore sooo very coooool but how expensive
.
I had a lovely IWC but it was so big on my tiny wrists that Mrs H banned it then we had kids and she banned that too.
The Paneria range is great looking .

It surprises me that a typical porschista would go for anything that isn't a 100 % pur sang. The old daytona had the Zenith El Primero movement, whilst the new ones have a reworked eta movement IIRC?
Whats the bloody fun in that? Being a bit of an anorak, I really respect the old "manufactures": patek, audemars, vacheron, breguet? Despite the fact they are mostly all owned by LVMH or the Richemont group.
Royal oak off shore, vacheron overseas, breguet type XX any time for me over the daytona? (although I have an old GMT but that was inherited)

I'd go for the Daytona with it's nice historic motorsport connections. I also fancy a Tag Monaco for the same reasons and the fact that they are so damn cool
Panerais are very nice too....I could spend a fortune on watches....if I had one!

If I was going to buy another watch tomorrow I would be buying a classic to be honest.
My latest stable consists of:
and a NOS 70s Seiko of all things that I love the design of.
Next on my list to buy are these two.
but probably the grey or blue faced Silverstone.

Tom, that almost looks like my perfect 'garage' of watches .. although i would add an Heuer carerra
Unfortunatly I don't even own a watch, but have been thinking of ordering one of these bin:
"Telling the time uses the 4 marked areas on the face. The first single light indicates 10 hours, the next 9 are 1 hour each. These are used to indicate hours 1-12.
The next 5 lights represent 10 mins each & the last 9 are 1 min each. Using these you can read 1-59 minutes.
It's the same for the date mode to indicate month & date. The day is shown on the very top row of holes where the markings M, T, W show the day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc)
Pressing the button once shows the time, a second press shows the date. The lights stay active for 8 seconds giving you plenty of time to read the display."

Far from perfect but always been a passion of mine. It stems from my father, now he does have a collection and a half!
There's a few collectors on DDK and a certain gentleman who has a vintage Heuer collection to die for!
Talking of garages - mine are virtually housed in one now - self winding for the Automatics of course - need a bigger one now!

nice collection Thomas, I've got a Seamaster too and an old Heuer Autavia, always had a longing for an early white faced, Heuer Carrera...
What I'm looking for now is a quality steel or rose gold (call me a tart if you must) "sports" chronograph. I look at Breguet's, Vacheron's, Lange etc and see them more as dress traditional dress watches and their foray's in to the sports market is more of a fashion thing than a core offering, whereas Hublot, AP and Rolex are more traditionally sports watch manufacturers, AP's are truly quality but those babies aint cheap! Of course I'd prefer a nice Patek but you can buy a nice 993 for that sort of money! .

Although a bit bling bling and not really known for their watchmaking I admit to having a liking for these - I think it's the 'Michelin' esque straps.

I almost fell for one of them simply cos they look nice and that unusual tyre pattern strap too but in the end put the money towards the IWC.
