Yes I used to wake all my neighbours up at 8am on a Sunday run...

Best bit was on the way back home... zoom down the short road to my close hit about 4000 rpm where you have to back off to turn ... let the engine to it's work...

sound to wake the dead and make my neighbours look rather funney at me....... Price less......

Was a great car..bestest 912E out there.

My recently aquired #1346 is still running sweet on the Bosch L-jet but will eventually go the Megasquirt route utilising most of the original FI hardware initially. I'll have full mapable ignition too.

I was won over after feeling the difference a similar setup made on a US FI type 1 engine. And looks dope as.. running with no dizzy.

But it's a steep learning curve and there's a few more pressing jobs to keep me busy for now.

I guess that move was after the guy {Mark?} from Birmingham purchased your old E. I know of another Red E in Ireland. #143 IIRC.

FWIW Steve B is impressed with the old FI stuff he got from you. Fudge {#576} will be acting as a 'yardstick' for when #381 is coverted back to FI from twin 40mm Kadrons.

Maybe, just maybe you me and my mate Steve B could get together somewhere up north for a possible 912E round up. We are based near the M62 in the Huddersfield area and could meet you at a halfway point.

Nice E you got there ar kid. Looking really good there. I notice that your aerial is on the opposite side to mine and what kind of door mirror is that? Steve B has a simular looking one on his Talbot Yellow E.
