It was a great time as always and we were really glad to join you all for the Northern Christmas bash. Special thanks to Philip and Marie for host and providing us with a fabulous bacon and egg buttie to set us up for the journey on Sunday

Erm, Ian - they didn't DROP off - they were WRENCHED off through poor driving!

Glad to say BOTH Aston's have now been repaired (courtesy of superglue) - made worse by Chris (James' brother in law snapping the rear wing off one of them while on the phone to Mrs. Hot66 yesterday

I'm slowly coming of the DDK northern cloud now

; It was really great to see a fine selection of Passionate Porschista's. The setting was stunning, the entertainment second to none, food food food everywhere and pmjt is a walking encyclopedia of all things Porsche!

Helen and Larry bringing the sporto oop through the gloop (and salt): respect!

The hospitality from Marie and Philip was fantastic and what a way to close off a year with DDK.

Speaking of closing: (I hope that Ian is able to illustrate the scenery with a picture) Seeing Mike leaving the place with nothing more than a skiing jacket and a hat to drive home in his Apal surely must qualify for the well 'ard northern award

Gently breathing out would only increase the frost inside the windscreen.....

Hope you didn't get lost ey

Mick, did the tyre hold up ?

Looks like the the rim has cut partially through the tubed tyre valve stem.
Now need to find a fitter that can mount the tyres properly, without resorting to tubes...

And pmjt - the 'old' rims are an inch wider than the 'new' rims. Probably explains why the Apal feels a lot more stable on the 'old' rims with the same sized tyres! How did we not notice this before?

Had to stop a couple of times to 'defrost', check the slowly deflating tyre, and stamp my feet to get the circulation going again

I can't imagine what the homegoing Christmas shoppers must have thought

had a great drive there and back, roads were suprisingly quiet, weather was kind and we found the heater works (not used to such luxury)so we were toastie..

though you have reminded me i must hose the car down

not sure about the roof lantern...what you think?

I thought as much Mick when we looked at it - my chap Simon Graham in the village is very good - if you want I'll work out when I can pick the wheel up from you / meet you half way if it helps?

I'm really sorry - I *know* the order, invoice and box labels were correct 'cos I checked them - didn't think I'd need to actually look at the bleedin' wheels

Like I said elsewhere - no surprise Chesil went bust
