Depending on how my car turns out after it's been blasted (which may or may not happen at some point in the near future) I might have got some spare scuttle sections 
Cheers chaps. Comments so far pretty much what I expected. The
scuttle scares me too. I wonder about taking it to be dipped but I have a
vision in my mind of there being nothing left but 6 inches of sediment in
the bottom of the tank. Auto Atlanta sell new frames and scuttles in one
but the price (never mind the shipping) would make you cry.
Thanks for the offer Dolby - I visit Sheffield regularly so I'll call in for a
chat if that's ok.
I'll be doing some serious digging with a screw driver (and camera) over
Christmas so by January I'll know whether the shell's a lost cause or not.
