Mike,

Thanks, and yes I've bought that back issue. There should be an article in November Porsche Post under the RS Register column about buying the car.

I assume from your post that you know the car/previous owner?

It's having some minor work done but I'll post some photo's when it's finished.

I don't know the car or the owner but I read everything about RS's I can lay my hands on and slowly your name and the previous owners name rang a bell in my head about an article on your new car. I dug it out and sure enough the article was there.

Have a great time with your new car. Maybe our RS's may meet up one day. Why not bring it on the Highland tour next year. See under 'future events'. Some great roads for our cars up here.
Regards
Mike

A bit late in the day, but the rear upper seat belt mounts on an RS look like this :-

They were unique to the RS in 73, but were fitted to the 2.2s

the back bulkhead is not strong enough to fix to on its own
The RS already has a seat belt fixing on the shelf. Porsche thought it was strong enough.
Pardon my ignorance Nick but was that meant for racing harnesses and roughly whereabouts on the rear shelf?

This is a pic of the interior of a USA spec 1970 911E that has the same mounts as the 73 RS
