Went for a nice blast this morning and headed for GTO Engineering to have a look at their 250 SWB replicas. What a lovely car!! They had some stunning machinery in the workshop.

Whilst the E is having a little fettling I took the opportunity to call in on Garry Hall at Classic FX this week to collect some material and have my seat repaired.....
.....what a cool set-up!
....
....Garry has developed an amazing unit for his trimming business and is doing some fantastic work.....
....a very cool place to hang out.....was also good to bump into 'Porsche Royalty' Mr-ST Dave O'Connor and racing legend Robert Barrie on the day.....
....a big thanks to Garry for producing his excellent Pepita cloth and repairing my seat and re-covering my seat belt covers whilst I waited....a huge help

Discovered that the battery was flat and the lead for the charged had got damaged !

Drive out to Oulton ....
Followed by a stop off at the bike shop for a new 'old' helmet .

Fair point well made.
Fixed my headlight on the beastie and went for a blast in the sunshine.
Quickly remembered it really needed a litre of oil and even quicker remembered its running 0mm of tread all round!
Oh well enjoyed it for half an hour on freshly tarmaced country roads that were more akin to a gravel rally stage. No doubt picked up a lot more road rash and a few dozen more stone chips - will look well raced by the end of the year!
Will fit my new tyres this week then strip the interior (remove seats and cage) in prep for fitting some sound deadening and carpets in the back later this month.

Dropped off 48 RSR rocker seals at MT's, drove past Garry Hall's emporium, decided to take the 911 put tomorrow.

Went for a blat on the lovely spring day we had up here. Great to get it properly warmed through for the first time this year. It's now filthy as it should be!
