That looks nearly as old as you Mark! Go easy with it we don't want bits of your fingers stitched to the seats....

Does it fold inside a cabinet ? Electric or foot powered ?

It's electric - on a foot switch. They don't cost much on eBay. I paid 33 plus 15 postage. Looking forward to learning to sew!

I grew up listening to one of those whirring every evening.
My mum was a dressmaker for plump and skinny women. She sew many a dress at lightening speed for a pittence.

Amazing how long these things last, most treadle powered ones were lost to bar room table bases...

Sadly, I even have a small sewing machine collection.

I went to the darts in Exeter yesterday. What a laugh. Just got back. Car was fantastic all the way there and back - and NO RAIN, it's the first time I@ve been out for any length of time and the car has stayed dry. Loverly....

Drove to Hull and back with my wife , unfortunately for a funeral of my great Aunt who'd lived a long and great life :) . She was from Prussia and it just felt right to take the 964 . Had a superb drive back cross country through the Yorkshire wolds . Sun was shining and all was good 8) .... And Jo only told me off twice for overtaking ;)

When I took the car for an MOT last week I noticed a crack in the headlight glass but it passed anyway .
Thinking I didn't want to change just one side as it would look odd I splurged on a set of new yellow ones ........

An update on my rain hats. Back from the anodisers, I was going skim the tops to reveal
the aluminium but think they look pretty good as they are.

I agree, best left alone as anodised.
The polished bits will only corrode in time and look naff.
