My latest acquisition and something a little different.....
A serial steering collector kindly highlighted this wheel being sold in Italy to me. It was actually very kind of him because, although he said he already had one I'm sure he could have found space for one more, plus it is a gorgeous wheel and was a real bargain.
A Personal flat silver spoked leather sports wheel in a very Momo esque style......it's a lovely wheel with a ridged back, a great size at a tad over 360mm and in fantastic original condition with a nice patina.
Very little seems to have been written about Personal wheels, certainly in early Porsche circles, and from what I can gather Personal was a brand of Nardi and where Nardi tended to lean towards more traditional wood rimmed wheels, Personal became the more sports focused wheel moving into Formula One supplying many teams especially Ferrari........I'd love to discover more about the Personal brand so if anyone can shed more light or correct any inaccuracies please let me know.
Not having anything like the same following this wheel was a mere fraction in cost to an equivalent Momo.........but then a 1970 Italian sports leather 360mm steering wheel in great condition, what's not to like!
Now all I need is to find is a Nardi hub and go silver when the mood takes me

.....
Cheers,

Only a few Mark, trying to focus on quality rather than quantity!
The first generation 370 Prototipo sounds nice, pretty much the holy grail with early wheels!
Look forward to seeing photos.
