Exhausts/heat exchangers cleaned up real nice too so no need to ask Mrs W to transfer more money just yet  Top tip for anyone as naive as me, learn internet banking and have a secret bank account :cyclops: she has her eye on everything as she does all the payments...

Just a quick question after looking at Darrens engine, are the 'rocker covers' (Thinks thats what they are with the Porsche logo on) supposed to be black as mine were were plain alloy and Ive just cleaned them up to go back on but appears Darrens have been painted black??

They are plain - but some people like to put a coating on them. Those people are called girls.

On another note, following the pictures of the blue interiors very kindly posted and the colours I had pre dismantling I contacted Garry at Visualfx who was extremely helpful and we decided on blue vinyl for the door cards, dash strip and rear sides and black vinyl for everything else other than front seats which will be black leather, perforated in centre.

Can anyone comment on if that was a real option from factory and whether the roof lining can be black or white. Finally the carpet set is relatively new and is black so I will settle for that for now.

Finally can anyone advise on where I can get my rear grille and badges 'blackened', do I assume they should be anodised or similar or just painted black? The clips in the back of the badges are a little ropey too, how would I get the special nuts to grip tight if they stripped?

Image

I assume over the years they have been polished to death!

Thanks for that, I assume by that I just leave them alloy as was.

These were originally black anodised and have faded over time.

I'd leave yours well alone, they're gorgeous.......or else sell them to me, or I could swap for nice shiney black reproduction items!

Original mag rocker covers were black

Most fit later Ali rocker covers that are natural ( mag covers have a tendency to warp)
