No bargains here but at what cost perfection? Or perfecting perfection? £3k apparently. The S is now ready for a season's enjoyment starting with the Goodwood meeting tomorrow. Thank you Alan and team.

Back from the Philippines after 6 months
Retrieved batteries from neighbour, who had kindly had them on conditioners whilst I was away
Fitted batteries, checked tyre pressure... ready to go :)
Fired up 1st time
Down to local Post Office to get road tax (was SORN'ed)
Off to supermarket to get in food supplies. Supermarket is 6 miles away but my route took 40+ miles
Great to drive again, all the old memories flood back instantly and the broad grin reappears
The sound, the smells, the sheer intoxicating pleasure return.

Then back to mere reality - battery (also on conditioner whilst I was away) back in the Cossie, started 1st time, MOT at the local garage (passed, couple of advisories), needs taxing and going to do that today....

Had a really good day yesterday.
Went to Brewster Motors of Billericay who are painting my shell and spent most of the day cleaning all the bright work.
Bearing in mind I sit in an office all day this was very therapeutic indeed even if my soft little hands ache a bit today.
Managed to clearly define Patina yesterday as well, Patina is any dirt scratch or abrasion that cant be removed with thinners or T cut or is also to expensive to replace :P

Looks like it will be a good day today weather wise so lots of you lucky people with cars on the road will be going out to play.
So have fun and as the great film of the 70's states

"May the Porsche be with you"
