I checked the Exif data Mike and it appears I used a Leica M9-P (a silver one) with a 50mm Summilux. It was exposed at ISO 800, 1/60th sec, f1.4.
I liked that shot too.
We had spent the whole of Saturday at the circuit and left to return to the Chateau and thence onward to a superb meal at a local restaurant.
The dish of the evening was the house special 'Marmite' (mar-meet), a lovely casserole of rabbit in a stock pot.
It took considerable resolve to stay sober and drive back to the track for a further session at night.
And yet those hours of darkness yielded the best photos and the most enjoyable time of the whole weekend.
It's a fabulous event. I'd urge you not to miss it next time.

One of the best shots so far IMHO

This was the 1st offence that justified the issuing of a DDK 'yellow card' as a warning
Offense : Washing ones car whilst on a DDK road trip
Unfortunately, John M was issued with 2 'yellow cards' .... one for the same offense as above + a 2nd card for the offense of parking ones car on a hill for purposes of admiration & photography

What does Rich get for 'waxing his jacket ' ? That's got to be a twelve month ban
In Mr Parr's defence he usually has his man do it for him

Maybe it was the American influence that paid a visit - some of us had the decency to wait until we got home
(although it was the very first thing I did

)

Russ - uncanny, I got my reply in before your edit - we know the crowd we were mixing with!

I'm just bl**dy glad I got my crappy happy snaps in early before David Bailey and his mates got home.
Some absolutely great pictures amongst the above, and banter and wit of the highest order. Makes for a great read. I think a CLM 2012 poster or two could be crafted from this lot by someone who has a man (or a nan as I typed first time!) who can do that sort of thing.

'A Certain Swagger" - do you mean this?
