Great progress Jesse - car's looking lovely.

Thanks for cheering me on guys! Without the support of other enthusiasts I would never have come this far.

Headliner installed! Took me about 10-11 hours with a heating fan on full effect inside of the car, sweaty job!





Catching an early flight to Rome and then driving down to the amalfi coast for 10 days of vaccation, would really want to install glass etc. but vaccation is sacred!

I´ll be back in 10 days and get down to work again!

Ok, back in the garage again!

Finsished wraping the rood pillars in vinyl (before windows go in)



Had to remove the rear suspension and re index the torsion bars for proper ride height, found a cracked inner spring plate bushing and realized that I had put on a pair of wide ones (65-67 1/2 uses narrower ones) BUT I had a set of proper Elephant racing bushings on the shelf!

So after a couple of hours I ended up a little tad to low in my opinion.



And off I went again, looking better?



Took a drive today, installed the odd M7 clutch cable lock nut and lowered the front, I ended up 5mm off in the back side to side and almost no difference in front.





Also started installing new rear window rubber seal and chrome trim resulting in a couple of not so nice blisters on my right hand.. But, It will get there!

Some more progress,

Rear window fitted with new seal and chrime trim. The lower portion of the seal is a bit big but... better than if it would have been too small.

Also sprayed the inside of the rear bumper with stonechip spray and topped it with gulf blue, hoping it will reduce some of the gravel-spray sound. Mounted the bumper pieces together, installed the rear seals, bumper horns and installed the whole unit.









Waiting for the windshield chrome trim, hoping to have the windshield installed before Thursday next week.

Also remodeling our flat at the same time, just had our oak floors redone, a new kitchen is due the 14th so I better get back to work with the 912 again!

Just spotted that the lower engine bay seal might have slipped on up side down.. Will sort it out 2morrow!

Solved the seal and also added new wiring for the trunk compartment light, works nicely! Also installed the drivers side fender, I was very afraid of horrible gaps but it came out "ok" in the end. Nowhere close the metal guru´s work but im a first timer.









ALso, test fitted horn grills and turnsignals, will need to adjust the horn grill location a little. Widen the holes and use the same hardware as the LWB´s (SOmewhat adjustable)



Im calling it a day and celebrating with a couple of beers!

The rear is starting to look like the real deal, just about to install the rear bumper to body seals and then I believe the rear is done!





This weekend has been filled with domestic duties, we redid our oak floors (oil/wax) and bought some baby stuff for our about-to-be-born- son! But tomorrow, I´ll be back in the garage.

Car looks great Jesse, really stunning work !!!

But more importantly, congrats on your soon to arrive son....

...better get the car finished before all those sleepless nights

Chris, im trying harder than ever! Next objective will be fitting a child seat in it...

I´ve fitted the trim to the front bumoer and test fitted the bumper to the car. Also recieved an order with lot´s of stuff, new gas tank, seals etc.
