Nice one Chris. Now - forget Webers, exhausts, distributors and all that malarky,
Megasquirt it

There's loads of info on here (see Impmad2000, Gary71 and The Easy Life for starters) and on the web countless hours of reading here
http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html
Not that 'm trying to influence you in any way

Stick carbs on it;) An apparently good set of Zeniths went for £161 on eBay last week. I know because I didn't win them
I have no doubt you can get more power, better starting and better economy with megasquirt, but I think you have to be prepared for endless fiddling and driving everywhere with a laptop on the passenger seat

Mine certainly has been like this, but James, with his Bitz Racing CIS kit was tuned in 2 hours driving around Leicestershire and hasn't been touched since ! I'm sure he'll tell you, its still better than the Zeniths were.

Hi Chris, have you got a 901 'box in the car ? will you have to change/modify the flywheel to fit the engine in ?
Keep us informed of the installation , thanks, Nick.

I have a 901 4speed box (912) that came with the car...this is an option at the moment. I am guessing it will work??

I eventually got round to picking up some welding gas. First job was to make the seat bases.
I kept the original early slider bracket (on the sill side) and constructed a basic square frame, with additional weight saving holes drilled
Clamped and tack welded in place...
Finish the weld and clean up
I got hold of some later sliders thanks to Andy (lightweight911), they required alittle bit of drilling to fit the seat base, but now fit into the new frame and seat base a treat.
Next job, tackle the central filler neck on the petrol tank
Cheers
Chris

Thankfully found a lighter one.
THAT pipe is currently supporting a fly-over on the M62

Not the biggest job in the grand scheme of things...but its looks abit better than the length of wood, and also allows me to get the petrol tank in and out easier during welding

Is the engine a strip and rebuild jobby or can you 'just' bolt it in?
Any way up you certainly like a challenge, don't you?
