Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Yes! Re-installation of the prime-mover, the aesthetically improved motor plus transmission rebuilt by the Top Dog of Kendal, into the ex-Lubbock collection 356D…accompanied by good tunes (and food delivered to the garage), but sadly no beer since the introduction of lower drink drive limits in Scotland.David Rooke wrote:After 342 days since removal finally reinstalled the rebuilt gearbox and engine into my 912. I think Johnny will be along later with photographic evidence. Cheers Johnny...
Probably good as we would have dropped the engine if we were getting into the Kwak...

It'll be on the road when the salt is washed away in spring. Although I did say the same last year...

Today I learned a whole lot more about MS, EDIS and whole bunch more odd letters and numbers thrown together. All courtesy of Tim 'impmad'. Yes, El Chucho will run one day thanks to the DDK massive!

Bonus news today is that the long awaited opportunity to drop the oil has NOT revealed the much-feared furry metal hedgehog of impending doom..

Love your hinges Sladey.

I have been drinking 10% Belgian monk beers all christmas. I'm immune! Or oblivious..Berny wrote:Well done with the engine! Kwak and Duvel are not for drinking when working! but very nice after a days work.

Saved 'pounds'..by fabricating a new xenon light self levelling sensor arm for the Turbo, from folded and hammered aluminium, salvaged from the leg of a broken camping chair.
