Fantastic work Gary.
Now that you know everything is so well protected are you not tempted to get them to paint inside and underside?
Looking forward to seeing the perfect painted shell. Presumably you are doing the rebuild yourself?

Hi, no plans for inside/underside paint in body colour.
I will ask for a cost on the engine and luggage bays, but not really too fussed.

chrome bumperettes left on just for transport presumably? and front wings and bonnet both staying on for the paint job then?

Yes, built up just for transport.
I’d imagine all the panels will be painted separately but I’ll be asking for doors, bonnet, wings and engine lid to be final fitted before it comes back so I don’t have to disturb anything.

Actually they got well ahead of what they'd suggested as Steve likes to have some safety margin. I've been seeing it come along but was sworn to secrecy
You'll find that once some product has gone on though he'll bake it and then leave it for a few weeks to really settle out before going onto the next stage. That means you don't get sinkage in a year or two.

Steve explained the settling process and explained how my car is fitting in with the two Ferrari shells moving his team back and forth between projects to allow each phase to rest like a good steak
