On geo - I remember I felt a total idiot on the drive home from having my 993 properly set up by Chris at Centre Gravity. Having never had an old Porsche before I thought it handled OK, didn't expect it to be as good as the car it shared a garage with at the time (M3 CSL), etc.
Turned out it was an understeery float pig compared with the beautiful car Chris handed back to me (not just geo, various rubbery bits and some PSS-10s).
Hope you have the same experience, but much earlier in your ownership. I think I wasted a year of proper 993-ing.

Richard, thanks. I would say I have been very lucky. Don't even want to think of the potential consequences if this had come off at speed. Looking at the bolts, the threads are stripped. Its obviously been slack and then given up the ghost being reversed up the ramp at 2mph. Perfect spot to breakdown.

Fingers crossed that it comes out from the geometry and moves the game on again. I genuinely don't think it is that bad at the moment, just different (have to say some of the characteristics they pointed out on the short drive aren't the most desirable and they fully expected to eliminate most of these). It will be interesting to feel if there is a real transformation or just a subtle shift. In any event I much prefer knowing it is now set up as it was designed from the factory.

Think I might just keep an eye on these for a while.

It was only when looking through my camera I noticed, it looks like Porsche borrowed the cooling slats from the defender for the front wings on the new GT3 RS.

Not really sure there is anything left to do to the 930. Car looking and driving really well. Lots of positive comments and well received.

Most recently I had the gear stick and hand brake painted, rear seat brackets rubbed down and painted. All had suffered over the years and looked worse for wear with scrapes and some surface rust. I also had the whole underside of the car sprayed with a clear wax to give some added protection and helps it look really fresh.

What a difference it makes getting the wheel rims polished. It improves the look so much compared to when they were all black! Very nice.

I agree, much prefer the wheels now they are back as they should be. Nick Moss did an excellent job.

Had to clean the car after driving in the snow and salt, feel much better now.

Treated the 930 to a full paint correction, two stage polish from a trusted detailer I use. Took some pictures leaving his unit. The colour is incredible in the sunlight, a light bronze flek shows through which is lovely.

Hadn't realised until now that it was metallic black, it's a great colour on the impact bumper cars.
