It's a replica and I'm sorry to say I don't have any more shots

Put fuel in the tank and turned on the ignition to see if there are any fuel leaks. One small one at a union on the left fuel rail, BUT a big one from the fuel pump. Yes, the fuel pump – not the unions, but the body of the pump itself. Great.

'Real or replica'

James - it looks like a Beck - if it's in the Netherlands it's probably Arjen Bosman's old car (formerly owned by DDKer 'Rico' - Steve Boza)

Keith - I seem to remember JohnM had a similar issue in his rebuild - turned out it was a dodgy o-ring in the pump - did the same thing happen to you?

Don't know yet - have to get car up on lift to access the pump and take it off. It's a pretty bad leak - and a brand new pump!

Who knows Gary - it has to sell first before I'll know that !

There seems to have been a lot of interest (including a fair amount from Europe) but none of that means anything unless people bid on the day ...

Well Andy, last weekend I did have an earnest discussion with my wife about re-mortgaging the house to raise funds in order to be a serious bidder.
Let's just say the conversation did not end the way I had hoped.

Such a fab car. My one regret is after all our chats about the project, I did not (yet) see it in the flesh.

Best of luck with the sale :salute:

It must be hard parting with it after all the time and and work that went into the build and what a fantastic result.

Spent all day in the garage today! Rebuilding the driveshafts (again :() after two of the boots came off. I hate driveshafts!

Also changed the brake fluid, topped up the gearbox oil, and found my repaired wheel has cracked again:(

Replaced the Gearbox selector shaft seal with the Gearbox box still in the car...

http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticle ... d_seal.htm

Made a hook tool which I could wrap middle finger around to pull...Eventually the seal popped out, but finger is knackered as I now have no feeling from knuckle to tip !! ...Something about stopping blood flow for too long I think

On a positive note, the leak has stopped.
