Quickly in my lunch hour or I would have done the paint and lights and the comping a bit better. but you get the idea.
hope it spurs you on.
Witchcraft!!!!!!
How did you shrink Steve???
Seriously though, I have no idea how people can work that kind of magic on a computer, what a great way to help visualise it.

That looks absolutely superb!

This is an early McLaren colour scheme before Bruce painted his cars orange to stand out. As a New Zealander it's a nice nod to a fellow kiwi racer,
albeit one who went on to build a few more cars
From little acorns.... I reckon you're going to be inundated with interest once that hits the road. I'd better start saving for one of the continuation series...

Wow, that's amazing! (Although it would've been better if you had made my chest bigger and my belly smaller

). It gives a real sense of what the car will hopefully look like. I'm constantly amazed by the skills and talents in this club.
I did say to Barry to keep one eye on doing more than one body, but I've plans (dreams!) about developing the car first, then building another, but also in keeping with the era and philosophy. I won't go into any more detail now as that would be premature - we need to build the first one!

50 shades of Grey?
Nah, Paint it black!
It's a wee bit ripply, but on the whole, I'm pretty chuffed with it. The (rattle can) black will show up any faults, hence the moulding will be in OEW........
Right, I'm off to ring the moulder and we can all get back to egging on Barry to finishe the Okrasa.
:D

Sorry I've been 'off-grid' recently. I'd written in months ago prompted by a letter to the editor of Octane surfacing another of David Small's Specials (not a Porsche or VW based one I hasn't to add) but then completely forgotten about it until I bumped into David Lillywhite at the Silverstone Classic press day and reminded him about putting me in touch with the owner of the other Special. It was wonderful to see the car in print even though I've been writing about the Special in GT Porsche for a few years now.
On the Special itself I've sent Barry a host of detail suggestions and I'm hoping we should see progress shortly on the actual build itself!
Cheers,
Steve

Come on Barry & Steve, you not got it finished yet?
A wee bit of trimming needed, but looks pretty good!
It turns out that Halfords aerosol paint has a weird reaction with GRP moulds, so it'll need to be painted, but not bad for what it's cost me.
Right, on with the rest of it ! :D

My special in progress also , built in the 50's in NZ using tube chassis with alloy bodywork over birdcage style frame, raced its whole life with various engines , now V8 with quad downdraught webers ,dry sumped, loud , fun and fast . Quick tidy up then going racing.
