Another early 356 that isn't priced on a 'futures' basis. A sign we've reached high-tide?

I would have thought that would be a good one if Roger Bray is selling it and it is a lovely colour.

Fingers crossed! Then they can come back to enthusiasts who will actually use them rather than sitting in storage.

I’m thinking this might end up at £45-50k rather than the £60-70k a dealer would be asking: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/196 ... -b-karmann

This is the one though:

Slightly tatty paint, not matching numbers, presentable but useable. I want it.

.

That black car has been for sale for several years - it's been on ebay at least twice over the past couple of years at ~ £55K if I remember correctly.

I actually bought/collected the 'outlaw' seats from the car when the owner had just refitted the standard seats - I thought the car looked quite good value (I couldn't live with that dreadful grey interior though) ...

Here you go - the last time it was on ebay back in July last year:

Is it silly to imagine it could be had for £45k...

That would leave enough spare to put some outlaw seats in.

Does anyone know anymore about this 356? Appears it is pictured outside a house in Liverpool, and for all the receipts shown on the pictures, the owner is not too sure of the history of the car.

It has been for sale previously in the UK by Historic's, current owner seems to think it was sprayed in the States but an old UK advert shows it, in the original grey sometime after 2011? Was also listed on Ebay

Do any DDK’ers know of the car at all?

I may be wrong but I think that web site car-from-uk... is a spam web site that scrapes ads off real web sites and duplicates old ads in order to produce material that it can display banner ads on. I'd be very surprised if any email addresses submitted go to the vendor of the car. More likely you get added to some marketing list.

.

It's a scam - or that advert is very old.

It states that the mileage is 63,100 & that it has 12 months' MOT - but the last MOT expired in April 2017 & the mileage in April 2016 was 63,437.

It's currently taxed until Jan 2022...

It's not a real web site. It scrapes old ads from real web sites and builds fake content so as to appear in Google search results - then it can make ad revenue by displaying banner ads to the visitors.
