We’ve been out of our actual house for nearly 6 months due to some major building works to repair a sunk ground floor... all covered under a new homes warranty, but a right arse nevertheless.

So it’s all coming together for Xmas, just going to be a manic few days driving around the country.

Well. This is a slightly frightening picture. But it's all in good cause

Inner sills fully welded:

But before we get too carried away with the outside, let's jump back a few days to the torsion bar, inner longit and ARB mount:

You might notice these photos aren't entirely in sequence but you get the idea

For me the panel that makes a 911 is that line from door over the quarter and into the lights.
Hence asking Barry to finish my car rather than me practicing A surface welding on it

Back on the inside Barry used my home made repair panels to close off the inner sill and heel board. So these bit's probably aren't to drawing Looks well though.

I have been quizzing over how that area at the lower back of the B-post, where it comes down and joins the sill, can be protected from future 'over the kidney panel' dirt... I think this area can perhaps be dealt with when the B-post is in place, and before the rear quarter goes on...

can you say how Gary - lots of seam sealer?

I have made a sketch that hopefully helps to explain which bit I am talking aboot...

This will be even trickier for me, because my B-posts will be attached to the rear quarters and will come off (hopefully) and go back on as one piece. This is to maintain their existing shape (and enable all of the kidneys and sills to be placed + a few repairs to the inner wings). I suppose I could cut out an access panel in the quarter panel to enable me to get to that area and add protection.

That looks so good.
At lest this is something good to come from 2020..

My Lokari aluminium ones will be going back in. Look a bit ugly, keeps all the crap out, so worth it.

Absolutely Karl, I hate handing my car to a ‘professional’ but if there’s one person I was 1000% confident in its Barry
I’ve done enough metal work to know exactly what he’s doing and how’s he’s done it, but I just couldn’t execute it to that standard no matter how long I spent doing it.
Also I don’t have a jig
