Hoping to have the car dyno'd in the next week or so and then probably another week for engine install, final feeling and running in. Will make sure there are plenty of photos over the next couple of weeks

It's been a little while since my last update. I was hoping to have put a few miles on the car by now in advance of Headingham, unfortunately the engine is not quite ready to go into the car.
The initial dyno results were very positive, we achieved 190bhp, however a couple of issues needed resolving, there is a low spot in the power curve which needs further trouble shooting, we think it could be a result of the rear silencer. The 2nd issue was we couldn't get the car to idle properly, turns out that the distributor needs a complete rebuild. So I now have to wait to get a freshly build distributor before putting the engine back on the dyno to complete some additional power runs.......

Saw your car recently Mark going through some final tinkering and have to say what a beautifully executed build you've achieved, a wonderful spec and great details. Huge congrats, it's a very special SWB 8)

Worth in the region of £350K these days I understand.....fair play! :thumbleft:

Had the car a week and managed to put a few hundred miles on her. Have to say each time I come back from a drive, my wife tells me I have a big grin on my face.
I took each of the kids out in her for the first time today, as it doesn't have any back seats it was a good excuse to have 3 seperate trips.....they all came back with big smiles on their faces and told their mum that the car very loud, fast and a whole lot of fun. Happy days......ImageImageImageImageImage

A few more pictures of the heart of the car. Have to say the engine is Fab, 190 on the rolling road, after it is fully broken in should make a few more. ImageImage
