This is what happens when you play with carpet knives  Used one to remove some old shrink tubing.

Had a terrific vacation in Florence! VIlla San Michele offered a beautiful garden and a killer view, we went there for drinks since the rooms were out of my budget at the moment.

Coming on a treat Jesse. Looks really great but I think the matching car creeper is a bit OTT

Managed to work a litle on the engine/gearbox today, mostly cleaning it up.

I have been running a Weber adapter kit on it, does anyone know where I can get Weber-intakes? I will put the original Solexes on as soon as I have had them reconditioned but would like to do some testing.

Let there be light and down on it´s wheels!
Our garage is having some mods this weekend so I wont be able to work on the car :(

Will do some "to do lists" and other stuff that will help me in the future!

Workingf late nights!

I dismantled the cyl 3&4 head for overhaul, didn´t look to bad. (The valve stem seal´s had come off though!)I´ve lapped the valves and set correct height on exhaust/intake valves. Will lap the cyl to the head and then I am hopefully ready for reassembly.

Image

Image

I´ve mounted the pass. side door frame with new felt seals (seams like you have to use some backing under the felt seals in some places in order to have a good window fit, anyone familiar with this?

Also installed door handles on both doors but the seals I had bought were inocorrect (68-) I reconditioned the rear, round ones and put new, incorrect ones on the smaller front ones for now.. Also dismantled the door handles and locks, washed and packed them with fresh grease.

Image

Image

I bring to you the God mother of all seals, I spent 1h 45m with this guy tonight! My hands are hurting really, really bad! I used soap, air, everything could think of but it just didn´t want to slide smothly! What am I doing wrong?

Front fenders off for final prep before installation.

Had a couple of hours garage time this evening

Have been looking for a nice dual MC setup for a while, didn´t find anything so I made up my own bracket and will use 2 original containers.

Image

Installed an in&out sticker on the rear quarter window :D

Image

Also mounted the steering assembly, wipers and turn signal switches now have that nice and tight feeling after some servicing.

Image

Hoping to get some more stuff done this week.
