Many memories of that over braid and none of them happy - think I still have the splinters now.

The car is going to be epic- and the sum of the hundreds of hours of research and the tiniest details. Still not sure I would have been brave enough to take a grinder to the painted shell though!

So where would I get enough zinc braided outer hose (with no tracer) from for my front cooler installation?

Brad will be able to help you with correct size hose with the correct zinc coated steel braid

Decided I'd asked for a little too wide flange on the front grill and although it looked good we reduced the width, gently using a DA whilst sandwiched between two metal plates...



...big improvement and much closer to the original....







...looking good and now fitted ....



...

...remedial work complete and popping in the sunshine ...



...although looking forward to sorting this ride height!...



...now heading back to GDC Automotive to finish the last stages ...

A little update from my visit to Gary at GDC yesterday....



...fresh black anodising looks sharp, a couple of pieces being reworked and hopefully back next week, then all glass will go in which will be a massive step forwards...



...handbrake linings replaced and now fitted...



...we were unsure if washer jets should be silver or black and expect there was some crossover at this time. I'd decided on black until seeing the Banford car and switched to silver but may revert back!



....a very minor detail but pleased with how factory the added bumper brackets look now fibreglassed and painted...



...we had actually fitted bumper seals in the bodyshop although they weren't quite to Gary's liking so he redid them! The man is class and very particular with detail ...
