Over an hour of Porsche sourced video of 550 to 917 on track, early parts are really quite something.

Wonderful video. They were there covers on the spare tyres in the 550? To protect the tyre from the engine heat?

Not all VR is bad. The engine sound is pretty realistic

Seems like a lot of work for 40hp but what do I know

Consider the £ per bhp and the exercise is very weak!
That lot inc the labour will be around 5 to 6K or 150/bhp

Anyway, seemed poor to me. New clutch would have ben on my list too.

as the saying goes in the USA ... aircooled power is some of the most expensive.

My 2.4S runs almost 220 bhp .. up from 190bhp . That wasn't cheap to do . Stock 964 say 260bhp. Some reckon exhaust and a map and realistically they are 280 bhp ish . Beyond that an NA tuning gets expensive . If youre already starting from a decent engineering baseline it is inevitably going to cost lots for incemental gains

Turbo cars and horsepower increases are diffeernt matter altogether. For not much money my V6 diesel pick up truck now runs 340 bhp & 720Nm

It looks like they did a good good but funny how with music/cool angles they try to make pretty simple work look special :)

That said shaftless butterflys is interesting and some have tried thinning the shafts it on Webers. However, many say it makes them too weak

I'm posting this in honour of the chap that bought his 924 out to Curborough yesterday. I was too engrossed with remembering the track to take any photos but he bought as a project and this was it's first outing.

PS the 924 in the video is taking all the wrong lines
