Can anyone tell me the correct tyre size/type for the original 914 2.0 fuchs alloys
165 HR 15 are what ive been told they should be, but cant seem to get them anywhere.

The aspect ratio of the original (non-low profile) tyres was, I think, 82% so currently-available 165/80 x 15 tyres are virtually identical in overal size.
As an example, there are 2 options available in this size from Camskill:

I'm sure there are many other choices...

Try Micheldever Tyres in Micheldever, sort of between Winchester and Basingstoke. Give 'em a call on 01962 774437. Superb set-up there, and I've never ever known anyone beat their prices.
They are very cheap and distribute to many major tyre companies and import the largest amount off tyres into the country!
