SWB 911/912 seat belt mounting?
The 912 is home – looks bootifull! Bruce did an amazing job. BUT journey home reminded me that I want more than lap belts... It's not obvious at all, but anyone tell me where the top mounting hole is for lap and diagonal seat belts? Photo would be much appreciated. Can't see any obvious place without probing holes all over vinyl...

This has been cover a few times with the likes of Pelican parts etc
The 356 way which is similiar is behind on the inner wing.. I think from memory you might need to dig out an old issue of " Porsche 911 world " do you know it..
where the Red 912 was give new seat belts from memory and they were welded in ( a base plate )
Now the correct way for later cars is up on the pillar but you would have to do some research on this to make sure you have a secure fitting..
I have a 3 point belt in my car and I am looking to add recoil seat belts to the car at a later date.. ( 3 points are easy to fit but a bit of apain I found them abit of an asre on the way down to Le Mans this year
Any photo's let me know
I have the 911 world artical as well in my to keep pile..
Glad you got the car sorted now... was abit of a bargain

That's why my car has the 4 point harness. The factory mount had rusted away. Does anyone have any info on retro fitting 3 point mounts (front and rear) to a SWB car?nick-moss wrote:That's where they should be, but most are rusted away.
