Rack to coulmn rubber bush

Post by orange912 »

Hi, does anyone have a rubber "doughnut" that goes between the rack and the steering coulmn, or somewhere that supplies said item, any ideas on cost?

Do you mean the steering shaft bearing or just the rubber bush? The rubber mounting/bush can be bought new. I may have a spare bearing but it will be a while before I can check properly.

I have an excellent, secondhand rubber steering coupler available at £25 (New design)

Should also have at least one brand new one in stock. I believe they're about £65 + VAT.

The original design of the coupler has been updated. To fit the new spec. coupler to an older vehicle, you need 4x metal spacer tubes - Make sure they're in the box along with the coupler! :)

Hi,

The part I mentioned is different to what Max has mentioned (B). The part I mentioned slides over part (A) in the image below. Reading your mail again I am unsure which bit you mean.

BTW:

If it's B you need I also probably have some used ones.

Cheers
