Purchase Update - Thanks for help so far
Rather than a project update, I thought I would share my thoughts on a few cars I have seen this week.
Car 1. 1969 2.0L White at Fuchs. Car will be repainted to bring it up to scratch, to match the tidy interior and sweet running motor. Drove very nicely, and Fuchs were very accommodating of all my questions.
Car 2. 1973 2.4T White at Specialists. Car bought in from California in 2005 and not yet on the road here. Rust free and will be on the road running well and with tidy paint etc.
Car 3. 1973 3.0L Hot Rod as for sale here on DDK in Holland. Car not seen but have corresponded with owner and got lots of pictures etc. Car is rust free and on a rebuilt motor. Has that race/rally theme I am looking to achieve.
All are White LHD cars and I would be happy with any. Car 1 is a little cheaper, whilst Car 3 is a Hot Rod and perhaps has a more restricted market for future resale.
I am away for a week and will go and look at Buzz808 (Alex) 1968 SWB car he has for sale on here. A bit over my budget but none the less a lovely looking car.
My wife has told me to get a move on and buy a car (otherwise the summer driving will be gone), so will look to conclude my purchase by the end of the month if possible.
Any help in my decision process most welcome, and your personal view on which you would go for via the poll please.

I voted for car 2 for its originality and potential ease of resale, but I would want it inspected properly to confirm the lack of rust.
IMO not the best way to go about finding an early 911, there is a lot of rubbish out there and a good car may take some time to surface. My wife has told me to get a move on and buy a car so will look to conclude my purchase by the end of the month

Thanks - keep them coming.....
James - the Fuchs car is the 1969 car on their website - will have whale tail removed and original lid put on and full respray. The 3.0L Hot Rod is advertised here on DDK by BS and with pictures here www.desportfotograaf.com/porsche
Car 2 is in a dry barn and I do not have photos - sorry. I have sent a PM to Nick Moss about it re: inspection.
Not really rushing to buy - just itching to get a 911 back on the driveway !
My main priority is a rust free car as I am no 'bodywork' person.
Keep the thoughts coming, and you will hear (see) it here first when I get one.
