cleaning wheel hubs

Post by jtparr »

hi

me again....

whats the best way to clean the aluminium front wheel hubs from my car

so far have achieved a reasonable finish with a bucket of hot water, a toothbrush and a bottle of Swarfega "oil and grease remover" and a sharp scalpel for the stubborn bits.....they are 34 years old after all..... (bit like a dental hygenist cleaning teeth  ) but I am wondering if some product like oven cleaner or other would be good to get an even silvery finish, so i can spray them with a clear gloss coat afterwards

any offers ?

thanks

jonathan

Vapour blast them. You will need to give them some form of protection after as. Here are some I had done a few weeks ago.

hi Alan

if its a fair price, I would like to do

fan
shroud
banana arms
wheel hubs

2 issues, clearly the price but also the location and how I get the bits there safely, would prefer to drop them off, but depends on distance from me, is it close to Barry by chance ?

could you just let me know the location first

thanks
