Pirelli P6000 Powergy

I have been offered a pair of new but cheap Pirelli P6000 Powergy (205/55x16) for my fronts

What do people think about them as everyday tyres, worth it?

I have a set of 4 195/65s on my daily 911S. They work fine for me.

Probably a bit late in terms of response.

Be aware the P6000 are very different from P6000 Powergy.

I had a discussion with Pirelli regarding this and the advised that they should not be mixed on an axle, and it would be better to have all 4 tyres the same.

Why?

1. Powergy have silicone in to improve wet weather performance
2. They have a different tread pattern, really look closely there are more blocks of tread per radial foot with the powergy than the standard P6000
3. they have different speed ratings.

This discussion was for my company car Volvo S60, so is probably even more important for a porsche.

For what its worth, I have 195/65 P6000 powergy tyres fitted all round on a 911T and they work fine. Nick Moss recommended the Pirellis.

Maybe I missed that, They are good tyres, have them on my 911, S60 and my wifes Puma.

Just be careful not to mix the P6000, and the P6000 Powergy
