Does it crunch when you try reverse when the engine is running?
My limited research suggests reverse on these boxes is like the 915 and it’s literally just meshing two gears into each other. Obviously if one of them is spinning if the clutch is dragging it’s at best not go in or crunch!
Thanks Gary,
I thought it might be the clutch as there was quite a lot of deflection in the cable but I tightened it up a bit and no change.
It’s behaving quite strangely, I’m not sure it is actually reverse I’m getting without the engine running as I selected what I thought was reverse, put the clutch in and started the engine, when I lifted the clutch up the car moved forward as if I were in perhaps second gear!
It also doesn’t like engaging first, feels like it is hardly engaging then there is a “clonk” and it seems to go in.
I was hoping to get it good enough to drive to a garage but it’s looking like I might need to have it transported.
