I've wrestled back and forth over should I sell or keep this car but have decided to enter it in the Iconic Collector Car Sale Auctions event on Saturday the 25th July at the inaugural BRDC Classic at Silverstone (previously the Silverstone Festival/Classic, Coys Historic and Christie's Historic when I first went 35 years ago!) and leave it to fate
I was going to add all the photos I've taken here so you could see the condition but actually Iconic have now added them all to their listing so I will just share the link...

I bought the car at the end of 2020 as I wanted a fully restored car where everything had been done. This one appealed to me as all the right people had done the work on it - the bodywork was all done by Tony Littlejohn at GTR Motorsport - who had done the nut and bolt restoration of my 964RSR a few years earlier (that is now with Frank Cassidy who owns Boxengasse); the engine had been fully rebuilt by the late and great Bob Watson; the gearbox was fully rebuilt by Mike Bainbridge and is still the best 5 speed 901 dog leg box I've ever driven, and the rest of the car was all put together by Canford Classics.
It's as in good condition as it's ever going to be, as you will see from the photos, having done less than 2,000 miles since the restoration/build, and while I continue downsizing the car collection along with other things in life (not getting any younger!) maybe now is the time to let it go?
As a sign off I probably should say the genius that is Ben Coles replaced both oil pipes last year and that Ian's car is now at a dealers in Ripon if you were wondering what happened to that. Still happy to answer any questions you may have on either, just drop me a PM
Jason
